BMW 6 Series Picks up a Couple Doors in 2013

Diehard fans of the BMW 6 Series know it for its uncompromising performance, lauded design, and most of all, its lack of doors. More specifically, the BMW 6 Series is currently comprised of models that are all coupes or convertibles. This is set to change in the 2013 model year, however, and we here at Markel BMW are quite thrilled!

More specifically, our favorite Bavarian automaker is planning to add a new model to the 6 Series lineup, known as the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe. We'll be the first to admit that the title is a bit misleading, as the vehicle is actually a four-door sedan, but the vehicle itself is quite enticing.

In its introductory model year, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is set to feature the same design language as the rest of the 6 series, only with the addition of rear doors. This means it will feature the similar Its front fascia; low, sloping roofline; and lithe looks that continue to define the BMW 6 Series, while appealing to a whole new range of drivers with its ease of access. Of course, this also means that the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe will be longer than its five siblings in order to make room for its improved functionality. This also translates directly into more cargo room and a more spacious cabin for occupants.

That said, we here at 716 N. 102nd Street Omaha, NE 68114 would like to know what you think? Is the 2013 BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe right at home in its current lineup? Or does this new model not deserve to be in the same class as the rest of the 6 Series? Let us know by leaving a comment. We'd love to know what you have to say!
