Lifetime Limited Parts Warranty

To receive a lifetime limited warranty, you must purchase any of the following eligible Original BMW replacement parts on or after December 1, 1998:
    1. Shock absorbers
    2. Strut assemblies and inserts
    3. Mufflers
    4. New and remanufactured starters
    5. New and remanufactured alternators
    6. New and remanufactured water pumps

The lifetime limited warranty is currently restricted to this select group of eligible parts (new and remanufactured). This list of eligible parts may be expanded in the future.  The BMW Value Protectin Program Lifetime LImited Parts Warranty applies to BMW cars and BMW SAVs.
